The mission of Club Italia Nelson is to celebrate and preserve Italian culture, traditions and heritage, while maintaining our historic facility as a living memorial to the working-class immigrants who started it. We also welcome and support new Italian arrivals and their families, recognising the important role they play in enriching our community and keeping Italian identity alive in Nelson today.

​Our most important method of honouring this mission is through the dues and contributions provided by the members, their families, friends, and local businesses.

​

In return we add value to the membership by providing social activities, fellowship, Italian arts and culture; these activities provide growth and stability in the membership, creating a safe and comfortable environment for both members and their families.

​

Membership privileges also entitle you to regular newsletters, discounts on facility rentals, discounts on select Club Italia social events. 

​

We offer a variety of events and activities throughout the year for our members and the community at large. Our events focus on celebrating the Italian culture and traditions in new and exciting ways. We work diligently to target new audiences, from all communities – both for membership and for event attendees. 

​

New members must provide an application form and qualification is based on being able to show Italian heritage.

​

Associate Members (non Italians with an interest in Italian life and culture) are welcome but numbers are limited. 

​

Membership Categories:

• Single Membership – this level would provide membership to one individual. Cost $35

• Family Membership – this level would provide membership to one-two adults, and any dependent children under 18 living within the household. Cost $70.
